Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

Policy statement

The Company is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants. It is our policy to comply with the letter and spirit of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and to keep our employment practices free of unlawful discrimination. Managers, supervisors, and all employees are accountable for adhering to this policy.

Scope

This policy applies to every aspect of employment, including recruiting, hiring, training, compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, layoffs, recall, discipline, termination, and participation in Company-sponsored social, educational, and recreational programs.

Protected characteristics

The Company prohibits discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, creed, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth and related conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital or familial status, citizenship or immigration status, military or veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

State and local laws often protect additional characteristics — confirm the full list for each jurisdiction where you operate.

Reasonable accommodation

The Company provides reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities and for sincerely held religious beliefs and practices, and for pregnancy and related conditions, unless doing so would cause undue hardship. Employees who need an accommodation should contact Human Resources to begin an interactive discussion.

Affirmative action (if applicable)

Where the Company is a federal contractor or otherwise subject to affirmative-action obligations, it maintains an affirmative-action program and takes affirmative steps to recruit, employ, and advance qualified women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans. Self-identification of protected status is voluntary and kept confidential.

Harassment and retaliation

Harassment based on any protected characteristic is a form of discrimination and is prohibited (see the Anti-Harassment Policy). The Company also prohibits retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, raises a concern, files a complaint, or participates in an investigation or proceeding related to equal employment opportunity.

Reporting and questions

Employees who believe this policy has been violated, or who have questions, should contact their manager or Human Resources. Concerns are reviewed promptly and impartially, and kept as confidential as practical.

General information, not legal advice. Treat this as a drafting starting point, not a finished policy — employment law varies by jurisdiction and changes often, so have a licensed attorney tailor it to your situation before you rely on it.
