Punctuality Policy
Reporting for work regularly and on time is essential, since lateness or absence interferes with the daily running of Company and places an extra workload on your fellow employees. Please use your personal days to schedule business, medical, dental and other appointments which conflict with your work schedule. Failure to report to work on time is cause for discipline, up to and including discharge.
This policy does not apply to absences or lateness protected by law, such as leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act or a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Employees needing such leave or accommodation should contact Human Resources rather than relying solely on personal days.
General information, not legal advice. Treat this as a drafting starting point, not a finished policy — employment law varies by jurisdiction and changes often, so have a licensed attorney tailor it to your situation before you rely on it.
